Fox 4 crew in Washington

It's always fun to see the big city media in one of our small towns. I think they get a kick out of the slower pace here and the friendliness of the locals. I imagine they find plenty of peculiarities in small towns... and they probably don't realize we find plenty of peculiarities about them. When someone is really dressed up in downtown Washington (or any other county town) and there is no funeral going on, they tend to draw a lot of attention. I always figured they are in town trying to sell something or they're Jehovah's Witnesses going door to door.
So when a couple News staff members saw a big camera and a guy in a suit taking video in front of the County Courthouse today, I decided to get the scoop. Turns out, it was John Holt, Fox 4 News co-anchor for the 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. newscasts, and a cameraman. They were in town doing an update on an insurance fraud case here in the county from a couple years ago. I'd heard of the case, but I remember not doing a very good job covering it. Sorry about that. Anyway, Holt said they were putting together some footage for an update on the case since the guilty party will be sentenced soon. I'll try to get more on that soon.
I did get a picture of the cameraman taking some footage of the downtown from an angle close to the middle of C Street. He jokingly asked me if he could take footage from the middle of the intersection. I told him sure, folks would drive around him.
