Politics - what do you think?

At the end of his weekly column this week, columnist Josh Zenger asks you to consider the following questions:
Will a brokered Democratic Convention result in a weakened nominee? Based on the popular vote and delegates rather than policies, who do you think should be the Democratic Nominee? Which candidate can best compete against Senator McCain November? Which candidate would be easiest for the Republican Nominee to defeat?
If you have input, leave a comment here.

I think a convention would choose Obama, but I think Clinton is more likely the candidate who could actually beat McCain. I believe McCain will use the experience card effectively against Obama and lately, Obama's commentary has been causing himself some setbacks. Who would've thought that the "great orator" Obama would misspeak and mess up his campaign?!

I saw a very interesting theory on the news today. The theory was essentially that the Clintons have actually accepted their defeat but are ensuring that when Obama is nominated he cannot win and thus opens up the 2012 Democratic nomination for an obviously very strong Hillary Clinton. Wow! Talk about Machiavellian, this is some serious plotting, but not beyond some politicians.
