HOPE YOU HAD YOUR PURPLE ON TONIGHT BIG GUY!!!!!:) You was close on the KU score but way off on K-State's. Guess we know who the best team in the state is for now!!! Love'in it
Its nice to see k-state actually match up athletically with KU. Actually I think Walker, Beasley and sutton are more athletic than anyone KU can put on the floor. This was evident in the 50-50 balls and offensive rebounds K-state got. Brandon Rush needs to learn to play a whole game not just 5 minutes a half.
Well. I got that one wrong. I suppose the streak had to end sometime.
1-24. I'll be old or dead by the time K-State evens that one up.
Too bad the ticky-tack calls were so one-sided in the first half.
K-State fans rushed the floor like they'd won a national championship! It's cool how other teams' fans get so amped up with a win over KU, while KU fans never rush the floor for any win. I guess that is a good sign of the state of the two programs.
Now Dan, don't even bring the ref's into the game because Beasley was hammered all night and never got a call. Plus the fact the KU is so use to getting all those calls. Each team could say that they should have had a few more calls their way.
Let get in thing clear, the elbow by Walker never connected. I DVRed it and watch it over 3 or 4 times and there is light between Chalmers forehead and Walkers elbow. FLOPPED!!!! Good move, just didn't want anyone it was a dirty play.
Yea, KSU fans stormed the court and most teams don't ever do it but you have to remember that it is the FIRST time since Bramlage has been built we have beat KU. The curse is off our back. It might 25 games again but at least its over.
Also, we can't help that KU fans aren't as good as the rest of the Big 12 fans I guess. Even your coach admitted that KSU fans are good ones. He said that the ksu game last year was the top three all time games he had coached in.
KSU fans are good ones? Now maybe. I admit the crowd had to have had a major impact on the game. They were raucous and awesome, no denying it. Even on television, the crowd looked intimidating.
I suppose they'd have to be though. Didn't they finally just start selling out men's basketball games last year after years of half-empty stadiums. And didn't Huggins have to chastise the fans for not showing up last year towards the second half of the season?
I suppose this year, they've had some pent-up enthusiasm after so many years of showing their loyalty by skipping home games.
Once Walker and Beasley are gone next year and the Huggins "bounce" wears off and K-State's talent level falls back to earth, I wonder if the loyal K-State fans will continue to show up??? Or will KU get back to the years where their fans pack Bramlage and make you wonder who the home team is?
March 1 - KU 85, K-State 73. And nobody storms the court and none of KU's assistant coaches get a DUI that night.
Okay, I admit I'm starting to sound a little bitter.
Good points but don't chatise the KSU fans for no showing up to watch poor performance. This is no different than KU football the past 10 years. "If you build it they will come." The same can be said about a program.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with storming the court after a major win. Ask the players some time, I know there is nothing better than celebrating a win with the fans after a big win. I will gautantee you they players love it as well. There is nothing better than hearing the fans tell you good game and sharing the same excitement that you have.

I was especially impressed with Walker. I hadn't realized just how much talent he has.
The crowd rushing the floor looked like a tsunami, I wouldn't doubt there were injuries. LOL
