Two local girls basketball teams were in action on Thursday night at the TVL tourney at Blue Valley.
Hanover lost to B&B 48-58
Linn lost to Centralia 40-65
Centralia will play Blue Valley for the tourney title after Blue Valley defeated Frankfort 73-57.
Boys semi-final action tonight pits Hanover vs. Centralia at 7:30 p.m.
Clifton-Clyde and Washington County will face off in a consolation round game.

I also do not understand why the board denied use of the gym. It seemed like simple request. I did not agree with the reasons some of the board members gave for denying this. I think the comment about players possibly dunking or hanging on the rims is ridiculous. This is a group of adults wanting to use it, not a bunch of rowdy teenagers. If the taxpayers are allowed to use the old gym, why can't they use the new gym too? What is the difference? The new gym is a nice facility and I think the board would do well to reconsider their policy and allow the public to use it.
